In 2024–2025, Malvern Panalytical expanded its capabilities with two major acquisitions:

• Micromeritics, a world leader in particle and porous material characterization, was acquired for $630 million plus a deferred component. This integration creates the broadest materials characterization portfolio in the market by combining Micromeritics’ particle, powder, and porosity technologies with Malvern Panalytical’s physical, structural, and elemental analysis platforms.

• SciAps, a leading provider of handheld XRF and LIBS analyzers capable of measuring every stable element on the periodic table, was acquired for up to $260 million. This adds powerful field‑deployable elemental and mineral analysis to our portfolio and strengthens our presence in critical minerals, metals, and industrial applications. 

These additions enable a seamless workflow spanning portable, rapid in‑field measurement to high‑precision laboratory analysis.
