The Scientific Division from the Verder Group comprehends nine high performance companies, active in the fields of sample preparation (Retsch GmbH), optical particle analysis (Retsch Technology GmbH and Microtrac, in the meantime merged together with MicrotracBEL to the new company MICROTRAC MRB), elemental analysis (Eltra GmbH), furnace technology (Carbolite-Gero), materialography and hardness analysis (ATM & Qness) and sieve analysis (Endecotts Ltd.).
